Selected for its pale tone and fine, restrained grain, the birch used for Homeward is deliberately kept close to its natural state. Each piece is individually sanded, engraved and finished by hand, allowing the character of the wood to remain visible rather than concealed. No two pieces will ever be exactly alike.
